Experience

Jack dedicated himself to coaching others following four decades of success in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. At Colgate-Palmolive where he served as Chief of Staff until recently, he provided counsel to three CEOs and their senior executive teams. He was executive liaison to the Board of Directors for over 20 years, developing extensive knowledge of board effectiveness best practices. A skilled communicator, Jack guided the company’s internal and external communications, and coached senior leaders for clarity and impact. He is deeply experienced in the core demands of enterprise leadership including global business strategy, ethics and compliance, organizational effectiveness, corporate social responsibility and enterprise risk management. He brings to coaching an extensive understanding of the high-stakes situations encountered by leaders:

  • entering new senior roles or organizations

  • implementing new strategies and managing change

  • confronting challenging reorganizations

  • addressing cultural change

  • guiding leadership transitions

  • strengthening senior team alignment

  • adapting to new personal circumstances

Jack is also experienced in the unique challenges of nonprofit leadership, performance and accountability.  He has served as a non-profit director, and has helped to start-up and guide organizations with social service, youth development and community development missions. He’s worked with nonprofit leaders and their Boards to address strategic planning needs, advance governance capability and strengthen teams.

A landscape painter, cyclist and squash player, Jack knows how important it is to refresh and nourish personal development in diverse ways.  And as the father of five, now-adult children he’s very familiar with life’s inherent unpredictability.
